The events below are the PPLAC activities we scheduled for 2025. If you see something that you would like us to repeat in 2026, please let us know!

 

General Meetings and DPC's (Digital Photographic Competitions)

January 23 - Open House, Theme: Chinese New Year! Raffles! Awards! New PPLAC Board!
February 27 - DPC #1 (All DPC's are Zoom meetings)
March 27 - General Meeting featuring Royce Bair on Nightscape Photography (Note! This is a Zoom Meeting and NOT in-person! The link will be HERE by the 27th.)
April 24 - General Meeting featuring Mel Carll on "Getting Out of a Photography Rut"
May 22 - DPC #2 (All DPC's are Zoom meetings)
June 26 - General Meeting featuring Dan Holmes on Experimental Art and the Surrealscape! Intrigued? We are! Join us!
July 24 - General Meeting featuring John Powers on Travel Photography
August 28 - DPC #3 (All DPC's are Zoom meetings)
September 25 - General Meeting featuring Kevin Karzin on "Youth Sports Photography" (There will an Outing to follow on September 27!)
October 23 - General Meeting featuring "30 Day Photographic Journey" (That's taking a picture every day for one month!) We will share a few photographs and stories!
November 20 - DPC #4 (All DPC's are Zoom meetings)
December - Happy Holidays! No General Meeting!

PPLAC Special Events

May 10 - Santa Anita Morning Exercises and LA Arboretum, Arcadia, CA (This is a combined event with Professional Photographers of California.) Click HERE for more information. (Zoom image review on 5/28 at 7:00pm. The Zoom link will be HERE and on the Calendar by that evening)

December 3 - A special Zoom presentation by renowned photographer, David Coleman, who will be discussing the impact of AI on modern photography. The Zoom link will be HERE and on the Calendar by that evening

PPLAC Workshops

June 17 - The PPLAC Outing to the Getty Center Dept of Photographs (Listed under Outings above) is also a Workshop. PPA members will receive a merit.

July 21-22 and 22-23 - A PPLAC Adventure/Workshop (Also listed under Adventures below) on NightScape Photography in Joshua Tree National Park. PPA members will receive a merit.

PPLAC Adventures

July 21-22 & 22-23 - Joshua Tree Nightscape Adventure/Workshop! We have added a second night for a second group! (Zoom image review for both nights on 8/4 at 6:45pm. The Zoom link will be HERE and on the Calendar by that evening)
